For this week in “iheartfaces” they are focusing on pets.  I love animals.  I always have.  This picture is of my parent’s dog, Ali (she is really my dog).  I rescued her when she was a puppy from the animal shelter.  She was found with her brother and her sick mother in a dark cave off of the road.  She has been an amazing dog.  She is loving and obedient.  She knows when you need her, she knows when you need love.  She has been a source of strength for my mom and dad during some very difficult times.

Now she is getting old.  She has lost that spring in her step and struggles to even get up.  We are sure she will not be with us much longer, so I wanted to dedicate this post to Ali, a special friend and family member.  We love you Ali.  You are truly a wonderful dog.
